Our Staff
Rapha Ministries, Inc. employs
a residential staff that oversees the facility and clients 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. The on duty staff provides supervision of clients health
and welfare 24 hours a day and are trained in First Aid, CPR, and Crisis
Intervention.
Steve and Marilyn
Yarbrough
Founders/Program
Administrator
Steve
and Marilyn Yarbrough are the founders of Rapha Ministries, Inc. They have
been working with adults in the addiction field for 18 years. Steve serves
as the full-time Program Administrator and is also an ordained minister.
Steve is over ministry growth, which includes building expansion, income
development and program growth. Steve works with the Alabama court system
providing alternative sentencing. Marilyn is a registered nurse with 15
years of psychiatric alcohol and drug addiction experience. Marilyn leads
study groups and completes the mental health assessments.
Bill Hays, CAC
Executive Director/Principal
Counselor
Bill comes to Rapha with
18 years of management experience in a clothing manufacturing company.
There he held the position of personnel director over 450 employees and
Vice-President of purchasing. Bill also served as Executive Director of
the Fellowship House, Inc. in Gadsden, AL. The Fellowship House is a
residential rehabilitation facility for men. He is a Certified Addictions
Counselor and has been with Rapha since it's inception. Bill is married with three children and lives in Southside, AL.
Barry Hooks, CAC (Intern)
Supervisory Resident Assistant/Program
Manager
Barry joined the Rapha Ministries staff in April of 2006 and was elected
to the Board of Directors in 2007. As Resident Assistant, Barry
lives on the Rapha Ministries campus and manages day-to-day operations.
He is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a degree in
Management Science, a retired Army officer & Department of the Army
civilian with certifications and experience in Program/Financial
Management. Barry is a native of Gadsden and has two children and
two grandchildren who reside in the Gadsden/Southside area.
Michael Bynum
Chaplain
Michael began working at Rapha as a volunteer teacher in 1998. Michael
became full time Chaplain in August of 2004. As an Ordained
Minister, he teaches what he refers to as " God: 101 classes" -
Michael's strength lies in his ability to simplify the gospel. As
Chaplain, he is a source of counseling to the men in the program.
He also conducts the Sunday service here at Rapha Christian Church.
Jeremy Colvin, CAC (Intern)
Teacher
Jeremy joined the Rapha Ministries staff in September of 2007 and is also
employed by the Alabama Department of Youth Services at the Bridge Inc.
He has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Jacksonville State
University. Jeremy has been called to the ministry of helping
those in need and has been serving as a youth minister/counselor since
2004. Jeremy is a native of Crossville, AL and currently resides
with his wife in Gadsden.
